My first try at 12 strand Kumihimo. Twelve strand works a little differently than 8 strand and I had a lot of trouble keeping the top left bead tucked under the string.

You should use a core – a piece of something like rattail that just stays in the middle. It prevents it from collapsing.
Thank you for the suggestion. I was given that suggestion by a Kumihimo group member and I tried it using silk rattail and it did help.
