Mondays–V5E16–I Love My Embroidery Machine!

My embroidery machine is getting a workout this week. I completed a birthday gift for my step-son the nurse:

a bag tag for my bonus granddaughter:

a baseball for my grandson and with six more to go for other seniors on his baseball team,

I also started my quilt blocks for my Twelve Months of the Year quilt for the quilt show in November,

And…went to the audiologist. I am joining the club of other women in my choir and book club and I’m getting hearing aids. I don’t think I need them, but from what everyone says, you don’t know what you aren’t hearing because you’re not hearing it.

The hearing aid I’m getting is not the molded kind that covers the entire ear canal like The Great Hunter wears. The one I am getting is an open-fit hearing aid. It:

“is a variation of the behind-the-ear hearing aid with a thin tube or the receiver-in-the-canal or receiver-in-the-ear hearing aid with an open dome in the ear. This style keeps the ear canal very open, allowing for low-frequency sounds to enter the ear naturally and for high-frequency sounds to be amplified through the hearing aid. This makes the style a good choice for people with better low-frequency hearing and mild to moderate high-frequency hearing loss”. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/hearing-loss/in-depth/hearing-aids/art-20044116

And finally, the newly re-seeded grass is beginning to grow in the backyard. Yay!

And in keeping with the Missouri weather, 80° one day and 50 ° the next, I froze my butt off at my grandson’s ballgame.
