Mondays–V5E41–Cedar Lake Cellars

Great Hunter took off on his motorcycle trip to the Harley Davidson Museum in Milwaukee with his two boys on Friday morning. You know the old saying, while the cat’s away, the mice will play? Well, we’re not mice but my daughter-in-law and I took advantage of the cats being away to spend the beautiful Saturday afternoon at the Fall Festival at Cedar Lake Cellars. Since my son and daughter-in-law have dogs, our dogs are always welcome in their home, so our girls went with me. But Dolly got in trouble for eating the cat’s scratching pad and then barfing it up on the floor.

We spent most of the afternoon sitting beside the lake sipping wine and listening to music.

It was so relaxing. And what could be better than Taco Loco for dinner? And conveniently there was a food truck not far from where we were sitting. I’ve never eaten Taco Loco before, and I wasn’t disappointed it was delicious, but then again, if it’s Mexican it usually is.

Around dusk, hot air balloons were inflated across the lake. It was fascinating to watch the balloons fill up behind the stand of trees. The fireworks show was planned for later in the evening but we decided we should probably get back home since there were four dogs in the house and we were ready to call it a day.
