Mondays–V5E42b–Florida Vacay Day Three

I’m staying in a condo with my oldest son, my daughter-in-law, my soon-to-be teenage granddaughter (in one week) and my daughter-in-law’s mother, who has dementia (that’s a whole other story by itself). The condo has two large bedrooms, both suites, one with two queen-sized beds and the other with a king-size bed. That’s the bed I’m sharing with my granddaughter.

What does that have to do with my “girls?” Well, my granddaughter uses more toilet paper than anyone I know and like most children, doesn’t know, or want to know how to put a new toilet paper roll on the holder. Naturally, I don’t notice there is no toilet paper until it’s too late. Unfortunately, that’s happened at home and it’s not because the Great Hunter would dare to leave an empty roll of toilet paper (he knows better). It’s because our loving Millie has eaten it again.

I don’t know what it is with her and paper. And it’s not just toilet paper, it’s Kleenex and paper towels and she even steals papers off the printer tray and eats them. I’d printed something the other day, went to get it off the printer and it wasn’t there. Ok, fine, I figured it just hadn’t printed and printed another one. When I went to retrieve that one, I turned around and then saw the first copy, shredded inside the dog kennel. And, of course just like in the old adage, what goes up, must come down, what goes in must come out. Most time we discover what she’s eaten while cleaning the messes in the yard.

My son, granddaughter and I ended our day with a sunset ride on the Sky Wheel at Pier Park in Panama City Beach. The SkyWheel observation wheel is nearly 200 feet tall and gives a bird’s eye view of the surrounding landscape.
