Mondays–V6E6–Nothing Special

This week has gotten away from me and it’s not because I had so many things to do. It was just the opposite. For several days, I had nothing scheduled (which are the days I like the most). Plus, both choir practice and Melodrama practice were canceled.

I spent several hours each day this week working on the quilt I had started at the Retreat. After working on it for two days at the Retreat, I decided I didn’t like it and ripped it all apart. I really like the second iteration.

I like to make my quilts in the “Quilt as You Go” fashion because I enjoy Free Motion Quilting where each block is quilted before being assembled. Plus it gives me total control of my quilt. (Not that I’m a control freak or anything–well, maybe I am).

I attended a Galentine event with my daughter-in-law and I’ve proven that I’m a better seamstress (or sewer as we’re called now, ewww, lol) than I am a painter, But it was a fun evening.

The Great Hunter is still working three mornings a week and we usually eat lunch while watching the soap opera, Bold and the Beautiful. I’ve been watching this soap opera for probably twenty-five years. When I worked in Crime Scenes at the Sheriff’s office, a group of women would meet for lunch in the breakroom and watch Bold and the Beautiful along with a part of As the World Turns (now defunct). You have to know the characters’ history or you’ll have many questions. He does. Lol. (Yes, Brooke really has been married to all those different men.)
