Mondays–V5E17–A Woman’s Home is Her Castle

It’s true. The older I get, the more my home becomes my sanctuary. I look forward to days when I don’t have to go to an appointment here or there and it gives me time to do the things I want to do as well as the things I need to do.

So here are some parts of my castle…

My smaller fur girls relaxing on the deck
My small garden with the addition of the chickenwire to (hopefully) keep Peter Rabbit and his cronies from eating the rest of my tomato plants
My grass is coming in nicely with the help of abundant rain we have been getting
My larger fur girls and the sunflowers that are coming up in a pot where they shouldn’t be because there is no soil in it, only rock

My embroidery machine and my hands really got a work out this week too. Six baseballs made for the six seniors on my grandson’s baseball team. Each ball takes about a total of four hours, from start to finish…dismantling the ball, hooping and embroidering the cover and resewing the cover back on the ball. This last step took the longest, about two hours per ball. They’re not perfect, but I think they’re the best I can do.

And, my avocado seed has spouted!

These are a few of my favorite things.
