Washing the CarWhen I saw the title for this week’s photo challenge, I didn’t have to think twice about what my entry would be. This photograph taken circa 1954 depicts my father, Charles Shoults, washing his 1948 Buick, with the help of his two year old son, Darrell. What makes this photograph such a treasure to me is that my father died in 1970 at the young age of forty-five and my brother in 1993 at an even younger age of forty. Gone, but never, never forgotten.
