This is a wonderfully simple recipe that was a favorite of my mother. She would make it routinely for church functions and Bunco parties. Not only is it simple, it is delicious!

Ingredients:

1 (21 ounce) can cherry pie filling
1 (15 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 yellow cake mix
8 ounces chopped walnuts or pecans
1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted

Directions:

In a 9×13 inch pan mix cherries and pineapple. Sprinkle dry cake mix over pineapple and cherry mixture. Sprinkle chopped nuts over the cake mix. Drizzle top with melted butter or margarine. Bake in 350 degree F oven for 35 or 40 minutes.
