Colby and Jack Cheese
And sharp shredded cheddar
Frying crisp bacon
And cream cheese in bars
Rolled in pecans and then stored in the fridge
These are a few of my favorite things
So I probably shouldn’t be a poet, but my love of cheese, almost any kind, is right up there with my love of all things lemon and coconut and bacon. This simple cheese ball will sure to be a hit at your next holiday or family gathering. My biggest critic, my youngest son, liked it so it must be good.
Ingredients
2 packages 8 ounce cream cheese
8 slices of fried bacon
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 Tbl. finely chopped onion
1 Tbl. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 cup chopped pecans (or walnuts or almonds)
Directions
In a small bowl mix the first six ingredients.
When fully incorporated, form into a ball and roll in chopped pecans.
Refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
Serve with crackers of your choice.
