I haven’t posted anything in quite a while. It seems it’s true what I’ve always heard; that time goes faster when you get older. Is it because suddenly we know we have a finite amount of time left here to enjoy our lives, family and friends? Whatever it is, it truly does seem as though time were flying. By the time I get finished doing what I have to do (including working a part time job to pay for my health insurance–thanks, government) and need to do and helping out caring for my grandkids, my day, or my week, is gone. I haven’t been doing a lot of baking because it meant I was doing a lot of eating, and we all know the outcome of that. and although I have gobs and gobs of beads, I spend more time thinking about what I’d like to make than what I do making it.
I have a sister-in-law that always flies by the seat of her pants. Me, I’m completely opposite. I have to have a tentative plan for my days off, or I might just end up spending the entire day watching HGTV and playing Cradle of Empires or down the rabbit hole with some series on Netflix. A couple weeks ago, I schedule some time to make this bracelet. It comes from a design by Pru McRae from Prumihimo.com. Although her design is made with her Prumihimo disk this one is not done with any type of braiding, it is just simple bead stringing .
The bracelet is made using 3 hole Arcos par Puca Czech glass beads in cream and rose/gold ceramic, 3.4mm galvanzied Silver Japanese Drop seed beads, size 8 seed beads and some larger (4mm?) beads I had lying around. The clasp is a simple ball and socket magnetic clasp. I love how it turned out. The bracelet looks like butterfies or circles, depending on how you look at it.
