I guess I must have caught some kind of bug last week. I’ve been basically under the weather all week. It started on Sunday morning…at church, of course. We’d gone out to my son’s church to attend Mother’s Day service with him and his family. I ended up spending the last half of the service sitting in the back because… it was closer to the bathroom.
Our other son and his wife came over in the early afternoon for BBQ, and after they left, I ended up taking an hour nap in my chair. I never nap. Not that I don’t doze off at times, but I don’t ever do it intentionally. That was one of the reasons that I felt I didn’t need to treat my mild sleep apnea. I don’t have to take naps in the afternoon. I sleep fairly well at night.
Monday, I still felt as though I couldn’t keep my eyes open, and for some unknown reason, I’d basically lost my voice, and, another nap in the afternoon.
Tuesday, several of my cousins and I drove to Hermann, Missouri, to visit our other cousin’s Iris farm. It was a nice, warm day, but not overly warm, and after we walked around her Iris farm for an hour or so, I thought I was going to pass out. My heart rate was high and I felt as though I couldn’t catch my breath. I had to get out of the heat, and it was only about 80°.

Wednesday, I was feeling better, but still didn’t have a lot of voice, but the fatique and sleepiness had somewhat abated. Yesterday, I was almost back to normal, and today, so far so good.
I hate not feeling well. Oh yeah. I had to make an appointment for my every-three-year colonoscopy which was due in July and the earliest morning appointment I could get was September! Oh how medical has changed in my lifetime, both good and bad.
