I made this 16″ whimsical appliqued horse head pillow for my granddaughter. She is horse-crazy, so I knew she’d like it. The two-inch patches were actually ends cut off from another project and since they were already sewn, all I had to do was cut them into other strips. The pattern is from Annie’s Craft Store. I used “Heat n Bond” to bond the applique pieces and then used a blanket stitch around the edges. I finish the backs of most pillows by overlapping two pieces of fabric and either sewing on a button or putting in a zipper. This one got a button.
