We’ve had summer for so long now. We had enough rain in the spring that my lawn looked gorgeous, but now, during our endless summer and very little rain, what wasn’t a weed is sparse indeed. I wonder if we are going to have a long enough fall to enjoy it or will we get four weeks of fall and then right into winter, my most hated months of the year?

But even with my complaining, the Great Hunter and I managed to take advantage of the warm (ok, hot) weather and take care of some outdoor chores we’ve put off during the extreme heat of the last month or so. Power washing.

We also made a trip over to our favorite restaurant in Grafton, the Loading Dock for their fish and chips. We sat on the outdoor, riverside patio and watched the boats motoring up and down the river.The weather is finally going to break next weekend and put us back into normal fall weather. Let’s just hope it stays that way for at least six more weeks.
