Judy Blume’s “In the Unlikely Event” published in 2015 by Random House LLC

In the winter of 1951-1952 in the space of about eight weeks, three commercial planes approaching Newark Airport crashed in the adjoining town of Elizabeth, New Jersey, killing passengers, crew and some unfortunate townspeople. Bestselling author, Judy Blume grew up in Elizabeth, New Jersey and was in high school when these tragic events occurred. Written in the voices of different characters, the story draws you into the thoughts and lives of Miri (Mirabella) Ammerman, Rusty (her mom), Henry (her brother) and Irene (her grandmother) with vignettes of others who play a part in the dramatic events.

This book is definitely a contender for Book Club but just in case it’s unavailable when I the time comes that I can reserve it, I still have other options.
